Transforming Innocence
Transforming Innocence

This young girl of an unclear age stares into the distance, lost in thoughts of an unknown future that her limited experience cannot predict.
Her butterfly neck tattoo which symbolises transformation is a combination of painted monarch butterflies that are overlayed with vintage butterfly paper collage elements and spill life and add further interest to the piece.
Her sparkling green eyes are accentuated by the dark green neural background.
Her edgy blue-black hair is highlighted with iridescence and metallic gold.
Her rumpled shirt is a crepe paper collage and adds a tactile element to the complex piece.
Please be advised colours may appear differently on different devices.
This is an original mixed-media collage painting (acrylic, posca, crepe paper and vintage butterfly print paper), 76cm x 102cm x 3.8cm, framed in a blackwood float frame and is ready to hang.
SOLD at the Brisbane Street Art Festival 2024.
