Meet Wally, the cheeky star of my Flummoxed Flock series of Australian bird art.
This wet and curious galah — captured with permission from photographer Sheila Smart - became an unexpected local celebrity after being stolen from a public hospital wall in December 2023.

Thanks to state-wide media buzz and countless “Where’s Wally?” headlines, he was safely recovered a week later and now delights visitors in the Lyell McEwin Hospital Cardiology Department.

Known for their playful antics and vivid pink-and-grey plumage, galahs embody Australia’s spirited character — and this artwork captures that personality in rich magentas, oranges, and gold. Whether in your lounge, bedroom, or study, Wally brings colour, humour, and heart to any space.
