Mr Bean captures Rowan Atkinson's famously awkward character alongside his ever-patient companion, Teddy. The portrait leans into the absurdity and nostalgia of the original comedy, with Bean's unmistakable expression doing most of the work.
Painted in acrylic and Posca marker, the piece combines detailed portraiture with the humour of a subject that many people recognise instantly. Teddy alongside him adds another little hit of nostalgia for anyone who grew up watching Bean turn completely ordinary situations into disasters.
At 40 × 40 cm, this is one of my smaller framed originals, making it an easy piece to place without sacrificing personality.
