Corporate commissions

Artist-led collaborations for organisations seeking meaningful, values-aligned artwork.

I work with organisations to create original artworks that reflect shared values, mark moments, or support community-focused initiatives.

These commissions are not about branding or decoration alone. They focus on people, story, and shared meaning.

All corporate commissions are developed through conversation and enquiry. There are no fixed packages, as each project responds to its own context, people, and purpose.

How organisations typically work with me

Corporate commissions take many forms. Past and current projects often sit within one or more of the following contexts:

  • A commissioned artwork connected to a community or social impact initiative
  • A one-off piece to mark an organisational milestone or anniversary
  • A creative collaboration supporting a charity or cause aligned to organisational values
  • An artwork created as part of a fundraising, awareness, or engagement activity

Each project is shaped collaboratively, with care taken to respect the people, stories, and communities involved.

Portrait-led and story-based commissions

I’m particularly drawn to portraiture and figurative work that centres real people and lived experience.

In organisational contexts, this often means:

  • commissioned portraits that honour individuals, teams, or shared journeys
  • artworks that reflect the human side of service, care, or leadership
  • storytelling through faces, gesture, and symbolism rather than corporate messaging

This approach has strong resonance in community, health, defence, and veteran contexts, where recognition, identity, and belonging matter deeply.

These works are not illustrative or promotional. They are reflective pieces, created with care and sensitivity to the stories they hold.

An artist-led approach to cause-aligned work

Over time, I’ve developed a clear way of thinking about how artists, organisations, and community partners can work together respectfully and transparently.

This approach prioritises:

  • artistic integrity
  • ethical collaboration
  • clarity of roles, and
  • genuine alignment between purpose and outcome

A shared way of thinking, not a fixed model

Some organisations find it helpful to understand how I think about artist–organisation–community relationships at a high level.

The diagram below is a visual summary of this thinking. It is not a process you are expected to follow, and it is not a template. Each commission adapts this approach to suit its people, purpose, and context.

You don’t need to study this closely. It simply shows the principles that sit behind how I work.

My background and lens

Before working full-time as an artist, I spent many years working across health, social services, and not-for-profit sectors, including serving as a board director for a community-focused organisation.

This background shapes how I approach commissioned work. I’m mindful of ethics, representation, power, and the real-world impact creative projects can have.

Today, my focus is firmly on my art practice. I collaborate as an artist, bringing structure and care to the process without stepping into a strategic or advisory role.

Community and cause-aligned projects

My artwork has supported a range of Australian charities and community initiatives through donated works, fundraising collaborations, and awareness projects.

When working with organisations, I’m particularly interested in projects where the story and the cause are treated with care and respect.

Some organisations like to see examples of community-aligned projects.

Optional reflection and awareness snapshot

Where relevant, I can also provide a short post-project summary capturing participation, reach, and community response, using data supplied by the organisation.

This is intended as a reflective snapshot rather than formal reporting, and is shaped to suit the scale and nature of the project.

Initial conversations are informal and obligation-free. They’re simply a way to explore ideas, timelines, and alignment.
